Get More Profitable with A Faster Windows XP

A slow computer should be a thing of the past. With advancement in innovations and technology, having a slow personal computer will give you the idea of living through ancient times. It is for this reason that individual frequently search  how to speed up their personal computers.

If you are on the same road, then you just came to right place. Yes, there is a lot of tweaking and modifying involved in speeding up a PC. But then again, these easy things are worth a try.

Here is some of the tweaking I did to speed up my Windows:

> Getting bored with the menu delays is really annoying. Lessen the time it takes for menu transitions by right-clicking your desktop. Choose Properties and Click the Effects tab. Unchoose the Animate windows menu lists. For Windows XP users, this can be done by right-clicking on the desktop, selecting Properties, selecting the Appearance tab, selecting the Effects option and unchoose Use the following transition effects for menus and tooltips, then Click OK.

> Speed up Windows Start Up by removing out the softwares you dont need at start-up. For Windows 98 users, this could be done through going to Start and clicking Run. Then enter MSConfig.exe and then choose OK. Hit the Start up tab then unchoose the programs you want to disablethroughout the startup. As you see, you can only speed start up Windows if you decrease the softwares that computer needs to wake up.

> Defrag may be an old school process but it doesnt fail to help anyone who has speed problems. search for the defragement option on the System Tools. Be sure that you dedicate a time for defragging. Using different programs as the same time as defragging limits the process itself.

> Selecting to install your programs would be best if you usually experience errors. Run a virus scan before you back up all of your important files Also, be sure that you have a copy of your hardware drivers and program installers before trying to delete the contents of your hard drive Reinstalling your application could run for as long as an hour or more.

> Removing programs that you do not use. Programs, whether you are utilizing them or not, take up space in your hard disk. If you arent making use of them, then is there still a need to keep them?
